Account & data transparency
Version 6 September 2026
When you register, Tax & Markets uses your email address, display name and authentication information to provide an account. Supabase provides authentication and password hashing. Account-linked features can also store saved articles, followed jurisdictions and topics, alert rules and other preferences that you choose to use.
Creating an account requires you to agree to the current Terms of Use and acknowledge this Privacy Policy. Tax & Markets records the applicable document versions and the time of acceptance so the account can be associated with the terms presented during registration.
The Weekly GCC Tax Brief is optional. On registration and on newsletter forms, it is presented as a separate choice from account creation. If you actively opt in, Tax & Markets records the email address, consent version and consent time and activates the subscription without a separate newsletter-confirmation step. You can unsubscribe at any time. Creating an account without selecting the newsletter option does not subscribe you.
Account information supports sign-in, account activation, password recovery and account security. Saved preferences support your personal intelligence dashboard. Newsletter information is used only to manage and deliver the briefings you choose to receive. Account-security communications are separate from optional editorial newsletters.
Essential session cookies maintain secure sign-in. The application does not currently include third-party advertising trackers or third-party marketing analytics. Vercel hosts the application, Supabase provides database and authentication services, and Resend provides email delivery. Infrastructure and security processing may involve locations used by those providers.
You can remove bookmarks, unfollow topics and jurisdictions, change saved alert rules and newsletter preferences, unsubscribe from the Weekly GCC Tax Brief, and sign out of your browser session. Signing out does not delete the account or its saved preferences.
Privacy questions can be sent to contact@taxandmarkets.com. Tax & Markets will continue to publish additional retention, account-deletion and operator information as the service develops. Do not submit sensitive personal, client, employer or confidential information through general account features.
